Many Lava is extracted from the Merapi Volcano on the island Java in Indonesia. The last eruptions were in 2006 and 2010. After the eruption of the volcano, several decades have to be passed until the lava is suitable to carve Buddha statues.

The lavastone Buddha statues that we sell are made of the best and hardest quality lavastone that is available. It can therefor stand the cold winters.
