The Thanka's that we sell are mostly old and antique Tibetan Thangkas. It are no replicas that are for sale in many touristshops, but original Thangkas from monasteries or homes in Nepal and Tibet.
A thangka is a rolling-painting. The tibetan word 'Thangka' means: 'Something that can be rolled'. Travelling monks and lamas used Thangka's on markets and meetings to tell stories about the Buddhist religion.
Now many people use Thangka's to help with their meditation.
